Joint infiltration with HA
Infiltration of joints with Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally present in the joints and is responsible for providing elasticity, lubrication and cushioning to them. Scientific evidence shows that intra-articular administration can help restore the visco-elastic properties of synovial fluid, which has hyaluronic acid as its main component. This fluid acts as a shock absorber and reduces friction between bones when joints move.
Candidates for intra-articular infiltration of hyaluronic acid:
Patients with osteoarthritis of the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hands, ankles and feet.
At Arcose Biomedical Center, hyaluronic acid infiltration from the Durolane brand is performed. It is the only hyaluronic acid with NASHA (Non Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid) technology, which allows it to be more resistant to degradation produced by free radicals and produces an effect intra-articular more durable than others.
